Homemade Deliciousness...
Last night's dinner was a favorite in the Rich household! Homemade Indian Food...sounds complicated, time consuming, and challenging. But, thanks to Arora Creations Spice packets, I can make Punjabi Chhole and Chicken Tikka Masala in a flash. Add in the store bought Naan and some basmati rice, and it almost tastes like I'm sitting at the Tasty Curry in San Francisco. Seriously, it's that good and soooo easy! The only downfall is that the spice packets aren't available in Laredo. I make sure to stock up, any time I'm within a 60 mile radius of a Whole Foods. You can also buy them online, I've included the link above. My mouth is watering just thinking about the food again. Thank goodness the recipes yield enough to enjoy them for a few nights!

We're back!
I just realized that it's been over a week since my last post, my apologies for the time lapse. I'm not too sure where January went, however we did stop for a moment to celebrate 8 months with Delia. We've had a couple of trying weeks with the addition of 2 teeth in Delia's mouth! Many sleepless nights followed by grumpy days has left me exhausted. The poor thing is chomping on everything and running a faucet from her mouth. I've been trying to capture a photo of the pearly whites, but her stubborn streak has been shining through. Don't worry, as soon as I do, it will be posted. Until then, I hope you enjoy these!

I've been working on getting the house completed as we get ready for some visitors in February and March. One project I've been working on is adding some color to the living room. I started with throw pillows. I used this incredibly easy tutorial and Amy Butler fabric. I'll post a whole picture once the room is complete!

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Goodness
We were invited to a friend's house for dinner last night. I, of course, used this as an excuse to bake! I dug through my growing stack of recipes to try, deciding on this! AMAZING peanut butter brownies by BHG. The recipe was easy to follow and came together quite quickly. I was surprised; as there are 3 layers, each prepared separately. I did have to bake for an additional 10 minutes and the crust was a little more crumbly than I would like. Next time, I will prebake the crust for longer as well. I'll definitely try these again soon!

As requested, I couldn't let a blog post go by without a few pictures of the princess! I hope you enjoy these, Hannah!!

The dark side...
Since most of my blogging friends are only subjected to Delia's blissful side, I thought I would introduce you to the other extreme. Here is our little monster princess in the midst of fighting a nap. Oh, the joys of being a mom! I guess you have to take the good with bad. We still love her just the same!!

Making the rounds...
During our extended stay in Maine Delia was able to visit a lot of family and friends. Fortunately for Delia, there isn't a shortage of people willing to dote on her. Sadly though, she is now back to the reality of only having me around all day. I think it's fair to say that she misses Maine...oh, and the excessive amount of attention!

Snow Days...
While in Maine over the holidays, Delia was able to experience snow for the first time. She loved it! Ok...maybe not. Judging by the whining that came shortly after placing her in the snow, she may have preferred sitting by the fireplace. However, I am bound and determined to make her a Maine girl at heart, despite what her birth certificate says. I did manage to capture a few pictures before said whining ensued.

Long Overdue...
Remember this post? As promised, I'm posting about my brother's wedding that was back in October. I've just received the photos that were taken by the fabulous Brian Wedge (he also shot our wedding!) It was fun to go through the pictures and relive the day. It was an amazing event to say the least. Every detail was carefully attended to by Tiffany, and it showed in the elegance and grace of the day. I only wish we could do all over again.
I love the raw emotion in my brother's face as he sees Tiff for the first time.
It's official!
The happy couple...(for those who know my brother, this amount of excitement isn't expressed often.)
The beautiful flowers. I love the colors!
Dancing the night away...
Welcome to our crazy family, Tiff! I couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law. I love you!
